Five Things That Made SOF 2015 the Most Awaited Event of the Year!

Yay! We had reached!! The time to chill, groove, rejuvenate, spice-up, eat and enjoy was here!!! The Sounds of Freedom concert gathered all like- minded people at the Amity University Grounds on March 3 and they enjoyed…… AND here are 5 reasons why:

The very eclectic artist line up kept everyone on their toes, moving. Kutle Khan, Dindigul Drummers, Tritha, Madboy/Mink, Vocal Rasta, Raghu Dixit and of course Farhan Akhtar! All of them helped keep the theme of the Concert alive: Be the Voice! The Schedule was made in such a way that music lovers participated in the mood created, totally!

Gender is not just a woman’s problem. It’s a man’s as well. The Cause of this Concert was that we stand together in the fight for gender equality. Sounds of Freedom with the UN Women #HeforShe campaign aimed to bring about a change in thinking and highlight gender equality as a basic human right. This was a solidarity movement for the benefit of all.

Sounds of Freedom was an emotion one experienced on the 3rd of March’15. The Concert was a journey into the realms of creative expression which liberated and uncaged the freedom of thought, spirit and speech. Thousands came to celebrate the freedom of creative expression. Through music they reaffirmed the importance of imagination, creativity and standing up for a cause. They all got a chance to Be the Voice.

The carnival-like atmosphere created at the Sounds of Freedom venue encouraged visitors to stay longer and soak in the moods. Happy faces all around, infectious music that transcended age and language, good food well laid out created the right space for the Cause all that this Concert stood for.
Visitors witnessed the coming together of the freedom of sounds, thought, spirit and speech at SOF.

An eclectic array of food stalls satisfied everyone’s taste buds. The food outlets had been carefully selected to interest the fussiest of eaters. Stalls were easily accessible and set up with ample space.
Merchandise stalls attracted the visitors with their colourful products. Items on sale added to the festival fervour.
